Our Fun Run fundraiser is a wonderful Crater tradition that we are excited to host again in 2023! Between now and October 6th, our students and families will fundraise for our school and run on the track behind Crater in a fun-filled event on Friday, October 6th.

What is our goal this year? $30,000
How it works:

All students Kindergarten through Fifth grade earn money for our school by collecting donations toward the total goal of $30,000. Donations can be collected online using PledgeStar at www.pledgestar.com/crater. Donations can also be collected as cash/checks in pledge packets that will be sent home around September 15th. Students can use both PledgeStar and the pledge packets.
Pledge Online:
This year we are using the online pledge system called PledgeStar. Using this online system not only makes it much easier for you to request pledges from your family and friends via email, text message or social media but to receive donations! It’s fun and easy!
· To register, go to http://pledgestar.com/crater
· Click “Not Registered For This Year’s Event”
· Enter your name and email address, then click “submit”
· Follow the instructions on-screen to register student(s)
When you finish, the system emails or texts pledge requests to your family and friends, then allows them to make secure credit card donations online. You get notified each time a pledge is made, and you can track your pledge progress online. You will also get a customized web link to share your student’s fundraising page on social media, such as Facebook or Twitter.

· Encourage your student(s) to collect pledges from friends, family, neighbors and co-workers.

PledgeStar-FAQ:
Q: Can I only use the PledgeStar website, I have used paper pledges before?
A: We know so many of you have collected money from friends and family door to door. We love you for that. However, this year with so many restrictions and risks we are unable to collect physical donations and ask that you use the online pledgestar only this year.

Q: I have more than one child at Crater. Do I have to setup more than one donation site on PledgeStar?
A: No! PledgeStar is built to handle multiple children from one family. On the setup page, simply add “participants” until all of your children are listed. When sharing the same PledgeStar accounts, donations will be divided equally between your children under the same household. For example, if you donate $200 and you have two children, each child will receive credit for $100. If your children prefer to have separate PledgeStar accounts, then you will need to register with different email addresses per student.

Q: How do I (as a parent) donate to my own child’s fundraising efforts through PledgeStar?
A: Easy! Just click on the Donate button on your child’s PledgeStar fundraising page. Alternatively, list yourself as an email recipient (it can be the same email you used to setup your account) on the “enter friends and family” section. When you send out donor request emails, you will get an email just like all your other friends and family. Simply click on the link in the email and donate to your child.
Q: Is credit card information secure using this new online system?
A: Yes, by using the online PledgeStar website, all transactions are secure.
